WATERFORD, CT –– The Waterford Public Schools is proud to announce Scott Hicks as the next Head Boy’s Lacrosse Coach at Waterford High School. Coach Hicks has been coaching in Southeastern Connecticut since 1999. As a former head coach at Fitch High School, Norwich Free Academy and Woodstock Academy, Coach Hicks will bring a wealth of lacrosse knowledge to the lacrosse program at Waterford. Coach Hicks was the 2006 Norwich Bulletin Coach of the Year and looks forward to the challenge of taking over for Chris Landry who was promoted at the end of last spring to take on the role of Director of Athletics and Student Activities for Waterford Public Schools. Scott will bring lacrosse knowledge, passion and willingness to build upon the culture of success the program has had over the last few years. “This is a great opportunity to coach a tremendous team of talented players.  I look forward to getting to work on this upcoming season. I plan on continuing to develop the player's skills and having an atmosphere that fosters sportsmanship and teamwork.” says Coach Hicks.
